Structural Features
● Smaller diameter design: The two ends of the elbow have different diameter, which can be chosen in accordance with the actual requirements of the pipe connection.
● Inner screw connection: the lower end has internal threads, which can be attached to tubes or fittings with external threads to guarantee liquid sealing and stability.
● Variety of materials: The reduction of the female threaded elbow can be used in various materials, including stainless steel, carbon steel, alloy steel, and so on, to meet the requirements of different media and working conditions.
These stainless threaded fittings are great for changing direction of flow at a point where also change of the pipe size is needed or a different size fitting should be installed. The threaded reducing elbow made of stainless steel allows you to transition pipe size and divert direction of flow with only single fitting as they can be used for both purposes stated above.
The 90° threaded reducing elbow eliminates the need of installing one more pipe fitting and reduces the installation respectively the chance of failure by more than one-third.
Also, the gradual reduction in diameter throughout the arc of the stainless threaded reducing elbow provides much lower resistance to flow and reduces the effect of stream turbulence and potential internal erosion. These features prevent sizeable pressure drops in the line.
