Stainless Steel Orifice Flanges

An Orifice Flanges is used in conjunction with an orifice meter, which is used to measure the rate of media flowing through the pipeline. Typically the media flowing through pipeline could be either oil, gas or other liquids that are conveyed across. Manufactured in accordance with the ASME B16.36 standard, the producers use the recommendations suggested by the standard. The flow of the fluid conveyed by the pipeline is measured by the flange itself via a flow nozzle that has been positioned on the flanges itself. A pair of pressure tappings have been machined onto the orifice flanges. Thus using making separate tappings for the Carbon Steel Orifice Flanges ANSI B16.36 on the pipe wall is not necessary. An Orifice flange is produced shaped in the form of a disc and is engineered with either a Raised Face or with a Ring Type Joint face.

The traditional assembly of the ANSI B16.36 Weld Neck Orifice Flange consists of a pair of flanges, along with an orifice plate, gaskets, bolts, nuts, jacking screws and plugs. Jacking screws used with these flanges ensure easy removal of the primary flow element.
