The working principle of stainless steel flanges is to tightly connect two pipes or pipelines with equipment through bolt connections, forming a complete pipeline system. The sealing effect is achieved through the gasket between the flanges, and the material of the gasket can be selected according to the properties of the medium and working conditions, such as rubber, polytetrafluoroethylene, etc.

 

Structural composition
Stainless steel flanges are mainly composed of flange plates, sealing gaskets, bolts, nuts, and other components. Two flanges are tightly connected by bolts and nuts, with a sealing gasket in between to ensure the sealing performance of the pipeline system.

 

Working principle
Force transmission: When the pipeline system is subjected to external forces such as pressure, vibration, or displacement, these forces first act on the flange of the joint. Due to the rigid connection between the flange and the pipeline system, these external forces will quickly be transmitted to the various components of the joint. The transmission joint transmits force to the flanges on both sides through the transmission bolt, achieving the connection of the pipeline and the transmission of force.

Sealing performance: The sealing gasket is located between two flanges. When the bolt and nut are tightened, the sealing gasket will be compressed and deformed, forming a tight sealing surface. This sealing surface can effectively prevent fluid leakage in the pipeline and ensure the normal operation of the pipeline system.

Elastic deformation: Under vibration and displacement, the joint can absorb and buffer these forces through its own elastic deformation. This elastic deformation not only protects the pipeline system from damage, but also improves the service life of the joints.
